To celebrate the 20th James Bond film and the 40th anniversary of the franchise, Madonna was enlisted to write and perform the title song, "Die Another Day." The track, composed with Mirwais, was heavily inspired by the electroclash sound and swiftly became the biggest "Bond" hit since the mid-'80s. The single hit No. 8 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was a top three hit in the U.K. Remixes for the track were fashioned by Felix Da Housecat, Dirty Vegas, Deepsky, Thunderpuss, Brother Brown and Victor Calderone. In fact, the single was Billboard's No. 1 Hot Dance/Maxi-Single for 2002. The action-packed music video -- featuring dueling Madonnas (one good, one bad) -- was directed by the Traktor team. "Die" also earned a Golden Globe nomination for Best Original Song.
