"Rain" was "Erotica's" final single in the U.S. and U.K., and was a return to form for Madonna on the charts. It went to No. 14 on The Billboard Hot 100 and was a top ten hit in most other countries (No. 7 in the U.K, No. 5 in Australia). The stylized video, directed by Mark Romanek, won two MTV Video Music Awards: best art direction and best cinematography.
